PBBM orders agencies on high alert for TD Crising

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has ordered government agencies to be on high alert for Tropical Depression Crising, which is expected to intensify into a severe tropical storm by Saturday.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has raised a red alert status, requiring duty officers from various agencies to be present at its operations center.

Technical staff from agencies including PAGASA, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development are also on standby.

Crising was last spotted 335 kilometers northeast of Virac, Catanduanes.

The Department of Science and Technology is continuously monitoring weather conditions and providing updates to relevant stakeholders.

Agencies such as the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Department of Social Welfare and Development are prepared to provide swift assistance to areas affected by the tropical depression.
