PBBM inspects Marawi learning spaces, donates Starlink units

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. visited Marawi City to inspect temporary learning spaces (TLS) and donate Starlink internet units.

He observed classes in five TLS in Barangay Sagonsongan, which cater to approximately 720 students affected by the 2017 Marawi siege.

The President personally donated Starlink units and pledged to donate additional kits to four far-flung schools, aiming to provide crucial internet connectivity.

The TLS program serves as an emergency education solution, offering temporary classrooms in locations where school buildings were destroyed or inaccessible.

In addition to internet kits, the Office of the President distributed school bags and learning materials to all TLS students.

Mr. Marcos also inspected the soon-to-open Marawi City Hospital, a 100-bed primary care facility expected to begin operations by August.

He stated that the hospital is given a deadline of August to open and serve the public.
