PBBM to release P25M aid to Batanes after Typhoon Julian

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. announced that the Office of the President will release P25 million in aid to Batanes province to aid in its recovery from Typhoon Julian.

He personally visited Basco, Batanes to assess the immediate needs of residents and oversee aid distribution.

The office of House Speaker Martin Romualdez will also contribute P15 million to assist the typhoon victims.

Marcos stated that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will release P10,000 cash assistance to every affected household.

The DSWD has provided P2.78 million worth of assistance, while the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) gave 10 kilos of rice to each of the 4,000 beneficiaries.

Fourteen thousand food packs will be distributed to families, and the President assured residents that their local government will help in rebuilding damaged houses.
