PBBM visits Cambodia to boost PH-Cambodia ties

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. arrived in Cambodia for a three-day state visit to strengthen bilateral relations and boost economic cooperation.

The visit aims to expand collaboration in key sectors including defense and security, trade, agriculture, and heritage preservation.

Three bilateral agreements are expected to be signed, covering higher education, air services, and the fight against transnational crime and human trafficking.

This state visit marks the first time in nine years that a Philippine president has visited Cambodia.

President Marcos aims to diversify cooperation, strengthen intra-ASEAN relationships, and push for stronger efforts against transnational crimes.

He will also seek support for the Philippines' chairmanship of the ASEAN in 2026 and engage with overseas Filipino workers and business leaders.
