Pasay City mayor urges POGOs to implement nCoV preventive measures

Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) are urged by Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano to implement preventive measures against the 2019 novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCoV ARD).

She assured POGOs that clinics are available to monitor personnel returning from affected countries.

POGOs are instructed to refer any suspected cases to Department of Health (DOH)-designated centers or hospitals.

The mayor also encouraged the use of forehead thermometers, placement of hand sanitizers, and maintaining cleanliness in workplaces.

Furthermore, POGOs are advised to encourage face mask use and impose a 10-day quarantine for workers arriving from nCoV-hit countries.

As of February 5, the DOH reported three confirmed cases of nCoV in the Philippines, all of whom are Chinese nationals.
