Pangilinan denies joining admin senatorial slate

Senator Kiko Pangilinan has denied reports of negotiations to join the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate for the May 2025 midterm elections, emphasizing his independent campaign.

Pangilinan stated that his camp has had no discussions with Alyansa, referring to rumors that he is being invited to join the administration slate.

Alyansa campaign manager Toby Tiangco also denied any talks with Pangilinan or former Senator Bam Aquino regarding their inclusion in the administration's senatorial ticket.

Speculation about Pangilinan and Aquino joining the Marcos-backed slate surfaced after Sen. Imee Marcos withdrew from the roster on March 26.

Pangilinan reiterated that his campaign's primary goal is to address the challenges of food security and the rising cost of goods.

He expressed his readiness to collaborate with all political parties, including Alyansa and PDP, to help Filipino families struggling with high prices.

Pangilinan stressed that his campaign is not about political parties or affiliations but rather about ensuring affordable food for all Filipinos.
