Palace: Marcos too busy to address Cavite solon's impeachment threat

Malacañang stated that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is too busy with national concerns to address Cavite Rep. Kiko Barzaga's impeachment threat.

Barzaga had previously revealed a prepared impeachment complaint against Marcos, citing alleged betrayal of public trust and constitutional violations related to flood control projects.

House Deputy Speaker Ronaldo Puno doubts the supposed impeachment complaint will get support from House members, stating there is no basis to impeach the President.

Speaker Faustino Dy III also mentioned that the impeachment complaint is unlikely to advance in the House of Representatives, as it is not among the chamber's priorities and no such complaint has been officially filed.

Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro emphasized the President's focus on assisting Filipinos and advancing the country's progress rather than engaging with such matters, and pointed out the lack of evidence presented by Barzaga.
