Philippine Airlines (PAL) has updated its reentry protocols in response to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases' (IATF) expansion of "Red" list countries due to the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
As of November 28, testing and quarantine protocols for all inbound international travelers will comply with the protocols for "Yellow" list countries, regardless of whether they are arriving from a "Green" or "Yellow" list country.
Travelers from Hong Kong are also required to adhere to the protocols for "Yellow" list countries.
Fully vaccinated Overseas Filipinos, OFWs, and eligible foreigners arriving from Green and Yellow countries who present a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to departure must undergo facility-based quarantine until their test results are released, followed by swabbing on the third day and self-monitoring until the 14th day.
Those without a negative RT-PCR test will be subjected to facility-based quarantine until test results are released, with swabbing on the fifth day, and then home quarantine until the tenth day from arrival.
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelers will be subjected to a facility-based quarantine until the release of negative results, seventh-day swabbing, and home quarantine until the 14th day from arrival.
