Easterlies to bring scattered rain showers over eastern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao

The eastern parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the prevailing easterlies.

PAGASA forecasts moderate to heavy rains in Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Bicol Region, Romblon, Palawan, and Quezon, with potential for flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and other areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Residents are advised to be vigilant as severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides in prone areas.

Currently, there are no low pressure areas or tropical cyclones within the Philippines' area of responsibility.

Easterly winds are anticipated to be the dominant weather system for the next few days, with a slight weakening of the southwest monsoon.
