Typhoon Pepito, with maximum sustained winds of 150 kph and gusts of up to 185 kph, was last located 465 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

The typhoon is moving west-northwest at 30 kph and is expected to make landfall in the vicinity of Catanduanes between Saturday night to early Sunday morning.

Landfall scenarios are also possible over the eastern coast of Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, or along the eastern coast of Quezon or Aurora.

Residents in low-lying coastal communities are advised to stay away from the coast and cancel marine activities.
