Pacquiao asks agencies to lift restrictions on unvaccinated Filipinos

Presidential aspirant and Senator Manny Pacquiao urged government agencies, including the DILG, PNP, and DOTr, to cease imposing restrictions on unvaccinated Filipinos.

Pacquiao appealed for unvaccinated individuals to be allowed to move freely as long as they adhere to public health standards and mandatory safety protocols.

He stated that Filipinos should be persuaded to get vaccinated through education on its benefits, rather than being coerced.

Pacquiao emphasized that unvaccinated individuals should not be treated as criminals or deprived of their right to work or purchase necessities.

This comes as the DOTr implements a 'no vaccine, no ride' policy and President Duterte previously ordered the arrest of unvaccinated persons attempting to go out without valid reasons, though the DILG clarified no arrests would be made.
