P19.2M worth of kush recovered in West Philippine Sea

Authorities recovered approximately P19.2 million worth of suspected high-grade marijuana, also known as "kush," off Escoda Shoal in the West Philippine Sea.

Naval personnel from the Western Naval Command, through the Naval Task Force 41, found 32 heat-sealed plastic packs floating near Sabina Shoal during a routine maritime patrol.

The contraband, weighing about 16 kilograms, was formally handed over by the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Palawan Police Provincial Office to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Palawan.

PDEA Palawan has commenced the proper documentation, inventory, and disposition of the seized items.
