OVP spent P20.68M on VP Sara Duterte's travels as of July

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) has spent P20.68 million for Vice President Sara Duterte's travel expenses as of July 31, 2025.

Of this amount, P13.21 million was for domestic trips and P7.47 million was for international journeys.

The OVP clarified that the budget for overseas trips covers the expenses of security personnel and staff, and the Vice President does not use public funds for all of her international trips.

For the 2026 fiscal year, the OVP has proposed a P20-million budget for Vice President Duterte's travel expenses, which is a decrease from previous years.

The highest allocation for travel expenses was P31.5 million, and the proposed budget is the lowest since 2023.

The OVP is seeking a total budget of P902.885 million for 2026, an increase from its 2025 budget.
