‘Provide PPEs to health workers’ --- VP Robredo
The Office of the Vice President (OVP) and its private partner have raised P36.3 million from donors for personal protective equipment (PPE) for health workers.
This funding is sufficient to procure 81,218 PPE sets for 5,414 frontliners and 10,457 care packages.
As of Saturday, a total of 30,450 PPE sets had been distributed to 2,030 frontliners across 93 hospitals and communities.
The OVP continues to face challenges in procuring PPE sets due to high demand.
The OVP also provides free shuttle services and dormitory accommodations for health workers in Metro Manila.
Vice President Leni Robredo thanked donors, stating, 'We respond to the worst of times with the best in ourselves.'
