Honduras port operator launches first CA-4 region sustainability report

Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana (OPC), the Honduras subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), has launched the CA-4 region's first port sustainability report.

This report, prepared under the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework and covering 2022-2024, aims to provide investors, global clients, and multilaterals with a transparent account of OPC's environmental, social, and governance performance.

OPC highlighted its 10,200-square-meter solar installation which generates 1.6 MWp of clean power, alongside various community initiatives focused on education, health, and inclusion.

The company also emphasized its multiple certifications, including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and BASC, as well as its compliance with IMDG and ISPS codes.

OPC was recognized by the Organization of American States in 2016 with the Maritime Award of the Americas for its innovative use of technology in safety and environmental inspections.
