OCTA: 8 HUCs in Luzon show downtrend in COVID-19 cases

Eight highly urbanized cities in Luzon are showing a downward trend in COVID-19 cases, according to OCTA Research.

These cities include Angeles, Baguio City, Dagupan, Lucena, Naga City, Olongapo, Puerto Princesa, and Santiago.

Puerto Princesa City and Baguio City are classified as high risk, while the other six cities remain at moderate risk.

OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David advised the public to continue observing health protocols to prevent a reversal of the trend.

Additionally, OCTA observed a continuous downtrend in COVID cases in Metro Manila, which recorded 689 new cases on Tuesday, Feb. 8.
