NU Bulldogs and FEU Tamaraws clash for last Filoil quarterfinal spot

The National University (NU) Bulldogs will face the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws on Sunday for the last quarterfinal slot in the 18th Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup.

NU, after starting the tournament at 0-2, has won two of their last three games, crediting improved defensive intensity with contributions from Steve Nash Enriquez and Jolo Manansala.

Coach Jeff Napa expressed optimism about the team's progress, stating they are gradually returning to their desired performance level after a 61-46 victory over Adamson last Friday.

The Bulldogs may be peaking at the right time, posing a challenge for the Tamaraws, who have lost two of their last three games following an initial 2-0 record.

FEU coach Sean Chambers hopes his team can recover from a 90-66 loss to La Salle, relying on Jorick Bautista and Mo Konateh to perform better.

The game is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. in the penultimate day of the tournament eliminations.

In another matchup, College of Saint Benilde and Emilio Aguinaldo College will play at 10:00 a.m., with the winner securing a top-two position in the NCAA bracket.
