NorMin Covid-19 testing to start next week
Northern Mindanao will begin COVID-19 testing next week with at least two facilities ready to operate.
The DOH-10 TB Reference Center and Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) are set to receive testing cartridges, enabling them to begin testing suspected cases.
The NMMC has already received its license to operate from the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine on May 13.
The Philippine Red Cross and Polymedic Medical Plaza have also been identified as potential testing sites.
The city government has provided two RT-PCR machines to the DOH-10 laboratory, and a third was purchased on May 15.
Once operational, these testing centers will serve not only Cagayan de Oro but also other areas in Mindanao.
