NLEX Marilao Bridge fully open after fatal truck crash repairs

NLEX Corporation has completed structural repairs on the Marilao Bridge after a container truck struck its underside, causing a girder to fall and crush a vehicle.

The incident, which occurred on June 18, resulted in one passenger's death and six others injured.

All four northbound lanes of the NLEX in Marilao, Bulacan are now completely passable after the repairs were finished at midnight on June 23, 2025.

This is the second time this year a truck has struck the Marilao Bridge, with a previous incident in March causing significant traffic delays.

NLEX Corporation expressed gratitude to the public for their understanding and patience during the repair period.

The expressway operator reiterated its commitment to enhancing safety and traffic management on its routes.
