NLEX secures twice-to-beat playoff edge after comeback win over Magnolia

NLEX Road Warriors clinched a twice-to-beat advantage in the PBA Philippine Cup playoffs by staging a remarkable comeback against the Magnolia Hotshots, winning 107-99.

Magnolia established an early lead, finishing the first quarter up by 19 points (32-13), but NLEX managed to narrow the gap to just two points by halftime, trailing 46-44.

Robert Bolick ignited NLEX's resurgence in the third quarter, scoring 13 points including two four-pointers, propelling the Road Warriors to an 80-70 lead.

NLEX extended their lead significantly in the fourth quarter, reaching their largest margin of 99-82 before Magnolia closed the game with late four-point plays.

Key contributors for NLEX included Robert Bolick with 25 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, Xyru s Torres with 22 points, and Brandon Ramirez with 18 points and nine rebounds.

For Magnolia, Zavier Lucero scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Ian Sangalang added 21 points, as the team suffered their second consecutive loss.
