NGCP: All lines affected by M-7.4 earthquake in Davao Oriental restored
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced that all transmission lines affected by the magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Davao Oriental have been fully restored.
The Davao-Toril 69kV line was restored at 10:29 a.m., the Nabunturan-Asuncion 69kV line at 11:32 a.m., and the Bunawan-Maco 138kV line at 10:25 a.m.
A customer-owned Nabunturan-Masara (Apex) 138kV line remains unenergized but does not affect any distribution utilities.
All power plants impacted by the earthquake were also restored by 11:30 a.m. on October 10, 2025.
The earthquake initially caused a total generation loss of approximately 373.5 megawatts (MW) and an initial estimate of affected loads in Mindanao was around 739MW.
Power transmission services in Mindanao are now under normal operations.
