NCRPO seizes P267M in illegal drugs in first 100 days

NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin reported the confiscation of over PHP267 million worth of illegal drugs during his first 100 days in office.

The NCRPO conducted 2,729 anti-drug operations, leading to the arrest of 4,028 suspects.

Beyond drug operations, the police also carried out 3,126 operations against illegal gambling, apprehending 7,695 individuals and seizing PHP1.88 million in bets and paraphernalia.

Manhunt and warrant operations across Metro Manila resulted in the apprehension of 3,721 individuals.

Furthermore, 815 illegal firearms were seized, and 796 individuals were arrested for firearm-related violations.

The NCRPO also apprehended 662,150 individuals for violating local ordinances.

Brig. Gen. Aberin stated that the crime rate in Metro Manila decreased by 17.04 percent.

This reduction in focus crimes, from 1,837 to 1,524, was attributed to increased police visibility, intelligence-driven operations, and enhanced community engagement.
