Metro Manila’s 7-day average of Covid-19 cases up by 19% — OCTA
The average number of daily COVID-19 cases in the National Capital Region (NCR) has increased by 19% over the past week, according to OCTA Research.
The reproduction number in NCR also rose to a "moderate" level of 0.90, indicating a slight increase in virus transmission.
Despite the increase in cases and reproduction number, the positivity rate remained at 1.2% and hospital utilization at 22%, keeping NCR at "low risk."
The average daily attack rate also saw a slight increase but remains "very low."
Health Secretary Francisco Duque III cautioned that it may be too early to assess the full impact of the recent rise in infections on Metro Manila's public health and security.
