NBI, PNP start joint probe on death
of ‘middleman’ in Percy Lapid killing

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) started a joint probe into Villamor's death on October 27.
Remulla stated that the joint probe was prompted by a dying declaration from Villamor in the form of a text message to his sister.
An initial autopsy by the NBI indicated heart hemorrhage with no signs of physical injuries, while an independent autopsy by Dr. Raquel Fortun is pending.
Villamor's sister, Marisa, and another sibling are under the Witness Protection Program after receiving a concerning text from her brother.
