NBI tasked to probe NBP inmate link to Percy Lapid slay
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will conduct an independent probe into claims that the assassination orders for broadcaster Percy Lapid originated from within the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).

Escorial stated that he and five accomplices were promised a total of PHP 550,000 for the killing, and a bounty for his arrest has increased to PHP 6.5 million.
The motive remains unclear, though Escorial may not need to undergo preliminary investigation before being charged.
A murder complaint has been filed against Escorial, two brothers, and an individual named "Orly".
