NBI nabs woman at NAIA for alleged human trafficking

The National Bureau of Investigation-International Airport Investigation Division (NBI-IAID) apprehended Priscilla Sunga Tabilog at NAIA for alleged human trafficking.

Tabilog is accused of violating the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act and the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.

The NBI's operation was prompted by a referral from the NAIA Task Force Against Trafficking - Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) involving three individuals set to depart for Thailand.

Two potential victims revealed they were promised teaching jobs in Thailand and Tabilog had arranged their travel under the guise of missionary activities.

Tabilog is also the founder and president of the Alliance of Bishops, Ministers, and Educators International Inc., an organization that lacked the necessary license from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) for overseas recruitment.

She is accused of recruiting workers for overseas deployment without proper authorization.
