NBI arrests father for alleged sexual assault of daughters

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested a father in San Pablo City, Laguna, for allegedly sexually assaulting his two stepdaughters and his own four-year-old daughter.

The NBI's Cavite North District Office (NBI-CAVIDO North) apprehended the suspect at his residence on March 31.

During the operation, the four-year-old daughter was successfully rescued by the NBI.

Charges have been filed against the suspect for violations of the Anti-Rape Law, the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, and the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.

The NBI-CAVIDO North initiated the rescue following a referral from a non-government organization representing the two stepdaughters who had escaped the residence.

The stepdaughters, aged 19 and 14, reported that the abuse began in 2023 while they were living with the suspect in San Pablo City, during which time their mother was working as an OFW in Kuwait.
