NBI raids alleged supplier of makeshift medical facilities in Pampanga, 3 Chinese nabbed
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) apprehended three Chinese nationals in Pampanga for their involvement in supplying illegal medical facilities.
The arrested individuals, Zidong Guo (who allegedly claimed to be a doctor), Chen Weiming, and Hong Qiao Ling, were caught during an entrapment operation at a warehouse in Clark Freeport Zone.
The NBI stated that the warehouse was the supplier and source of makeshift medical facilities previously raided in Barangay Anunas, Angeles City, and at the Fontana Leisure Parks in Clark.
Representatives from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inventoried and confiscated Chinese medicines, food, and cosmetic products valued at approximately P20 million from the warehouse.
FDA personnel also confiscated similar products worth P20 million from an establishment called "Super Market No. Nineth" within the Clark Freeport Zone.
The NBI stated that the arrested individuals will face charges for violating the Medical Act of 1959 and the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
