Navotas Mayor Tiangco gets Sinovac vaccine

Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco received his first dose of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine.

Tiangco, who had previously expressed reservations about Sinovac due to geopolitical issues with China, stated "Certified NavoBakunado na rin po tayo!" after his vaccination.

He encouraged residents and workers to register for the city's vaccination program, NavoBakuna.

The mayor received the Sinovac jab at San Jose Academy.

As of Monday, a total of 3,618 residents, including frontline health workers, senior citizens, and individuals with comorbidities, have been vaccinated with Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines.

Mayor Tiangco emphasized that vaccination is crucial for ending the pandemic and recovering economically, stating "Malaki po ang maitutulong ng pagpapabakuna para matapos na ang pandemya, at mapaangat na natin ang ating buhay at kabuhayan."
