Napolcom files ill-gotten wealth charges vs ex-husband of ex-PCSO GM Garma

The National Police Commission (Napolcom) has filed administrative charges against Police Col. Roland Vilela, the ex-husband of former PCSO General Manager Royina Garma, for alleged "ill-gotten wealth."

Vilela faces charges including grave misconduct, conduct unbecoming of a police officer, and grave neglect of duty.

These charges stem from allegations that Vilela, who was a police attache in the US at the time, served as a "middleman" to convert and send large sums of money, reportedly P50 million, to the US via diplomatic channels.

The allegations were reportedly based on the testimony of Police Capt. Delfinito Anuba during a House of Representatives inquiry.

Napolcom's Inspection Monitoring and Investigation Service (IMIS) filed the charges after finding probable cause.

Vilela has denied the accusations, stating his accounts only contained his legitimate salary.
