NAIA Terminal 3 to launch 78 biometric e-gates, new food halls

NAIA Terminal 3 is set to enhance passenger experience with the deployment of 78 biometric immigration e-gates, with some already operational in Terminals 1 and 3.

These e-gates utilize biometric checks and document scans to allow eligible passengers to clear immigration in approximately 20 seconds, powered by technology from Amadeus.

The airport operator, NEW NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), is also upgrading dining options with two new food halls: the Tambayan Food Hall, seating up to 2,000 guests with 17 Filipino brands, and the Mezzanine Food Hall, seating 600 guests with 22 restaurants and cafés.

An additional Food Village will also be launched airside at Terminal 3.

NNIC President Ramon S. Ang highlighted these improvements as tangible results of the partnership with the government.

The NAIA public-private partnership has remitted over P57 billion to the government to date.
