Muntinlupa sends aid to Taal eruption victims

Muntinlupa City has dispatched rescue teams and distributed relief goods to residents affected by the Taal Volcano eruption.

Muntinlupa City council also approved P3 million in aid for the Batangas towns of Talisay, Laurel, and Agoncillo.

Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon delivered 1,000 relief packs containing N95 masks, canned goods, and sleeping mats to Tanauan City for victims.

As of Jan. 16, the Taal eruption has affected 14,918 families or 65,184 persons in Batangas and Cavite.

Damage to agriculture in Batangas and Cavite is estimated at P74.54 million.
