MPower renews deal with Gokongwei Group

MPower, the retail electricity supply arm of Meralco, has renewed its energy supply agreement with the Gokongwei Group, significantly expanding its coverage to include more major facilities of the conglomerate throughout Luzon.

The renewed contract, extending a partnership that started in 2013, now encompasses several key JG Summit companies such as Robinsons Land Corp., Cebu Pacific, Universal Robina Corp., JG Summit Olefins Corp., RL Commercial REIT, Inc., and also Robinsons Supermarket Corp.

Lance Y. Gokongwei, President and CEO of JG Summit Holdings, highlighted that the agreement is a commitment to sustainability and innovation, enabling the integration of a 60 percent renewable energy solution into their operations.

Manuel V. Pangilinan, Chairman and CEO of Meralco, emphasized that the partnership transcends business, sharing a mutual commitment to nation-building and empowering communities for a stronger, more sustainable Philippines.
