MMDA launches web app for NCAP violation notifications

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has launched a system to notify motorists of No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) violations via SMS and email.

The new system, called MayHuliKa WebApp SMS/Email Notifications, aims to increase transparency and ensure timely delivery of traffic violation notices.

Motorists will receive real-time notifications once a violation has been verified and validated, allowing them ample time to respond or contest the apprehension.

MMDA Chairman Romando S. Artes urged the public to be cautious of suspicious messages containing payment links, stressing that legitimate notifications will never include clickable links to payment portals.

Payments for NCAP violations must only be made through official channels, such as authorized banks and MMDA payment centers.

The MMDA began re-implementing the NCAP on Metro Manila's major highways after the Supreme Court partially lifted a temporary restraining order issued in 2022.
