Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne has announced that she tested positive for COVID-19 while visiting her home in Arizona during the holiday season.

Montagne shared the news on Instagram, expressing her disappointment but noting that she was able to get tested early and her symptoms were not severe.

She attributed her mild symptoms to being fully vaccinated and strongly encouraged others to get vaccinated.

Montagne also urged her followers to get tested if they suspect they have the virus to prevent spreading it to loved ones.

Due to her diagnosis, she had to postpone her international flight home until the end of the month.

Despite the setback, Montagne conveyed gratitude for being safe with her parents and encouraged everyone to continue following safety protocols, including wearing masks.
