Metro Manila COVID-19 cases down 9% as cities stay at moderate risk

COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila saw a 9% decrease over the past week, with an average of 667 daily infections recorded.

The average daily attack rate (ADAR) in the capital region is now at 4.83 cases per 100,000 population, placing it in a moderate-low risk category.

While the positivity rate is at 7%, which is above the WHO's benchmark of 5% or lower, Metro Manila's hospital bed occupancy is at 36% and ICU utilization at 45%.

The reproduction number in Metro Manila increased slightly to 0.80 from 0.71 the week prior.

Navotas, San Juan, and Pateros reported the lowest number of new cases per day, each with less than 10.

All cities within Metro Manila are now classified as moderate or moderate-low risk areas based on their ADAR.
