Pasig RTC orders transfer of Mayor Alice Guo to Pasig City Jail

The Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) has ordered the transfer of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center to the Pasig City Jail female dormitory.

The court found probable cause to hold Guo and 15 others for trial on non-bailable qualified human trafficking charges.

Co-accused Walter Wong Long will also be transferred to the Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory from the Tarlac Provincial Jail.

Guo's co-accused include Huang Zhiyang, Rachelle Joan Malonzo Carreon, Zhang Ruijin, Baoying Lin, Yu Zheng Can, Dennis Lacson Cunanan, Jamielyn Santos Cruz, Roderick Paul Bernardo Pujante, Juan Miguel Alpas, Merlie Joy Manalo Castro, Rita Sapnu Yturralde, Rowena Gonzales Evangelista, Thelma Barrogo Laranan, and Maybelline Requiro Millo (a.k.a. Shana Yiyi).

The accused are not entitled to bail.

The arraignment and pre-trial for Guo and Long are scheduled for September 27 via videoconferencing.
