Maynilad Water Services, Inc. is partnering with De los Santos Medical Center (DLSMC) to establish a P15-million testing and laboratory center aimed at increasing the Philippines' COVID-19 testing capacity.
The new facility will be constructed within the DLSMC complex in Quezon City and will process RT-PCR tests, the standard recommended by the World Health Organization.
The testing center is projected to be operational by August 2020 and will have the capability to test around 200 swab samples daily.
Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez highlighted DLSMC's efficiency and flexibility as key factors in choosing the hospital for this initiative, describing it as a contribution to the country and the MPIC group's goal of doubling testing capacity.
