Mariveles, Orion police arrest 3, seize over P100k in drugs and firearms

Authorities in Mariveles, Bataan, arrested two individuals suspected of drug pushing, confiscating illegal firearms and methamphetamine (shabu) valued at PHP 98,600 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion.

The operation, conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Mariveles Municipal Police Station, yielded approximately 14.5 grams of suspected shabu and a loaded Caliber .45 pistol.

The arrested individuals are facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

In a separate operation on September 28, the Orion Municipal Police Station's Drug Enforcement Unit arrested another drug suspect in Barangay Sabatan, Orion.

A follow-up search in Orion yielded two more sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 1.4 grams with an estimated street value of P9,520, and a caliber .22 rifle with ammunition.

A second suspect in the Orion operation remains at large.
