Marcos, Zelenskyy discuss food security, digitalization, ASEAN-Ukraine ties

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed cooperation in food security, agriculture, and digitalization, reaffirming their countries' warm relations.

As the Philippines prepares to chair ASEAN, Marcos and Zelenskyy explored ways to enhance engagement between the regional bloc and Ukraine for the benefit of their peoples.

Zelenskyy briefed Marcos on Ukraine's joint efforts with the US and other partners to establish guaranteed peace and expressed gratitude for the Philippines' support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Marcos expressed interest in the expertise and technologies Ukraine can offer.

Zelenskyy extended condolences to the Philippines for the lives lost and destruction caused by recent typhoons.
