Marcos warns Cabinet members on performance

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. stated that even his closest friends in the Cabinet could be removed if they fail to perform their duties, emphasizing competence and commitment to public service over personal relationships.

He likened his expectations to a military-style chain of command, where underperformers would be immediately removed from their positions.

Marcos clarified that the ongoing evaluation of officials is not a formal Cabinet revamp but a continuous performance review.

While Cabinet secretaries and agency heads are under scrutiny, the review now also extends to undersecretaries.

The President stressed that the process is an ongoing effort to ensure all government agencies and departments improve their service to the people.
