Marcos Jr. finalizes 4th SONA, PNP prepares for security

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is preparing for his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 28, aiming to present a clear and comprehensive report on his administration's projects and accomplishments.

Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro stated that the President is refining the address to ensure a better report to the public, quoting that "kailangan po na maging mas maganda ang pag-uulat sa taumbayan patungkol sa kaniyang mga naging proyekto at mga achievements and accomplishments."

The SONA will be delivered before a joint session of Congress at the Batasang Pambansa, where Marcos is expected to outline his administration's progress and reaffirm policy directions.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is ramping up security measures to ensure a peaceful and orderly conduct of the event, with preparations potentially adjusted based on intelligence reports.

PNP Chief General Nicolas Torre III noted that security adjustments may be made in light of the ongoing impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
