OCTA survey: Marcos, Duterte trust and performance ratings dip in Q3 2025

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte experienced a decline in their trust and performance ratings during the third quarter of 2025, as per an OCTA Research survey.

President Marcos Jr.'s trust rating fell by seven points to 57%, and his performance rating decreased by eight points to 54%, though he still maintains majority trust and approval.

Vice President Duterte's trust rating dropped by three points to 51%, with her performance rating declining by one point to 49%, continuing a gradual downward trend observed since the first quarter of 2025.

These rating decreases occurred amidst a widening flood control scandal.

Malacañang, however, remains "unbothered" by the dip, with Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro emphasizing that the President still enjoys the trust of most Filipinos and that the administration will continue working regardless of poll numbers.

Marcos' trust ratings saw a 7-point drop from 64% in July 2025 to 57%, with the highest trust coming from Balance Luzon (67%) followed by the National Capital Region (55%).
