PBBM swears in Teodoro, Herbosa as DND, DOH secretaries
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. administered the oaths of office to Gilbert Teodoro Jr. as the new Secretary of National Defense and Dr. Teodoro Herbosa as the new Secretary of Health.
The oath-taking ceremonies took place in separate events at Malacañang Palace on Tuesday morning.
These appointments were announced by the Presidential Communications Office on Monday afternoon.
Gilbert Teodoro Jr. previously served as Secretary of National Defense and chaired the National Disaster Coordinating Council under President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Teodoro also served as a three-term member of the House of Representatives for Tarlac's first district.
He completed his law degree at the University of the Philippines, graduated top of his class, and ranked first in the 1989 Philippine Bar Examinations.
Teodoro also holds a Master of Laws degree from Harvard University and received academic and leadership awards from the Air Command and Staff College.
