Bautista to DOTr execs: Give same commitment to incoming Sec. Dizon
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. appointed Vivencio "Vince" Bringas Dizon as the new Secretary of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) on February 13, 2025, effective February 21.

Malacañang confirmed Dizon's appointment on Thursday, with outgoing Secretary Bautista calling on DOTr officials to extend "the same commitment or even more" to his successor.
During a meeting with DOTr officials, Bautista urged them to provide suggestions and recommendations to help Dizon continue the department's mission and vision.
Civil Aeronautics Board Executive Director Carmelo Arcilla lauded Bautista's leadership, calling him "the best" among the eight transportation secretaries he has served.
