Palace suspends work on Holy Wednesday afternoon

Malacañang has announced that government employees can work from home on the morning of Holy Wednesday, April 16, 2025, with work suspended in the afternoon.

This measure aims to allow government workers ample time to observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday and to facilitate travel for those going to their home provinces.

The arrangements, detailed in Memorandum Circular No. 81, specify work from home from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a suspension of work from 12:00 PM onwards.

Agencies involved in essential services, such as basic and health services, disaster response, and other vital functions, are required to maintain their usual operations.

The Palace clarified that private companies have the discretion to implement similar work arrangements or suspend operations for their employees.
