Makati LGU sends more rescue equipment to Marikina

The local government unit of Makati City has dispatched additional modern rescue equipment to Marikina City to help with the needs of victims of Typhoon Ulysses.

Mayor Abigail Binay ordered the deployment to help Marikina cope with the devastation of the typhoon.

Aside from a mobile kitchen and water tanker delivered last Monday, Makati also sent another tanker, a penetrator fire truck, pick-up truck RV-13, and a mobile water filtration system on Tuesday.

The mobile kitchen is ideal for mass food production, allowing for the preparation of at least 800 meals per operation.

On November 12, Binay also mobilized a rescue team of nine personnel with two rescue boats, a search and rescue vehicle, and an ambulance to Barangay San Roque to help in the evacuation of Marikina residents.

She expressed understanding of Marikina's need for assistance, hoping their help would ease the day-to-day lives of typhoon victims in temporary shelters.
