Makabayan bloc releases SALNs, urges Marcos Jr. and others to follow suit

The Makabayan bloc has publicly released their Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net worth (SALN) in the spirit of transparency and accountability.

They are urging President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Vice President Sara Duterte, and other elected and appointed government officials to also make their SALNs public.

ACT Teachers Party List Representative Antonio, Gabriela Party List Representative Sarah Elago, and Kabataan Party List Representative Renee Co declared net worths of P10.9 million, over P1 million, and P280,000 respectively, based on their July 1, 2025 SALNs.

President Marcos has previously stated his willingness to release his SALN, following the previous rules for accessing such documents.

This move comes after the Office of the Ombudsman issued a memo lifting restrictions on public access to SALNs.

Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano clarified that individuals only need to present identification to access a public officer's SALN, without requiring the officer's consent.
