JP Maguliano leads EAC Generals to thrilling 78-76 win over CSB Blazers

JP Maguliano led the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals to a thrilling 78-76 victory over the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (CSB) Blazers in the NCAA Season 99 men's basketball tournament.

Maguliano, a veteran big man, scored seven of his 17 points in the crucial fourth quarter, including a game-sealing free throw that extended the Generals' lead to 77-73 with just 12.7 seconds remaining.

The EAC Generals initiated the fourth period with a decisive 12-2 run, featuring timely three-pointers from Maguliano, Ralph Robin, and Nat Cosejo.

Despite a strong performance from Benilde's Miggy Corteza, Mark Sangco, and Robi Nayve, who managed to tie the game and even take a brief lead, the Generals' supporting cast played steadily.

The absence of Corteza late in the game due to a collision proved to be a significant blow for the Blazers, allowing the Generals to capitalize on the offensive end.

Maguliano also contributed significantly to the rebounding effort with 12 boards, while Robin and Cosejo added 16 and 12 points respectively.

This win improved EAC's record to five wins against three losses in the tournament.
