Magnitude 5.5 earthquake shakes Luzon, no damage reported

The earthquake was felt across Luzon, with reported intensities including Intensity V in Luna and Bacnotan, La Union.

Intensity IV was recorded in various areas in Benguet and Mountain Province, as well as in the City of Baguio and Villasis, Pangasinan.

Instrumental intensities were also recorded in numerous other areas in Luzon.

No damage or casualties have been reported, but Phivolcs warned that aftershocks are likely.

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Cordillera had advised small-scale miners to cease entry into their mining tunnels and evacuate.
